In order to determine the specific field, level of difficulty and the approximate extent of work required, PDF files, for example, can also be substituted in place of original data. However, PDF files are unsuitable as source material for a fixed price quotation, as they are billed in the same manner as translations from paper submissions. The advantages of the transcycling® process can thus not be utilized, which influences the price and processing time. Furthermore, price estimates are less accurate in the case of paper and PDF submissions, as the price, based on a word count, is determined in the target language instead of the source language.

In order to be able to submit the best offer, we ask you to provide us with original files if at all possible. We regard confidentiality as being a matter of course.
