We recommend invoicing per word in the source language because this way the price is fixed from the outset, independent of how many words are eventually required in the target language. Invoicing in this way is also independent of layout and varying line lengths. Prices per word are nowadays the international standard, which makes better price comparability possible as well.
In addition, the price for a translation project, incl. every service associated with it, is subject to text-specific, format-specific and some other factors. Many particularly complex translation projects involving several languages are so specific that they must be planned and calculated taking all the parameters into consideration.
