Software test with reference to localisation

Transline provides you with a software test in reference to localisation, if you are unable or do not want to do the testing yourself.

If for technical reasons it is not possible for the translator to visualise the menu dialogs in the course of the translation, a test of the files translated is required. The appropriate application of the appropriate item in the appropriate position must be checked in the process because isolated items without context are difficult to translate.

If charts are included, which cannot be accessed in the course of the translation, a software test is recommended as well. The point should be taken into consideration that charts ought to be checked for their cultural neutrality too.

In the case of complex software, testing the translation is absolutely essential in order to ensure that everything is actually being translated (e.g. some resource files were not forgotten) and the context relative to other menu dialogs was understood correctly by the translator as well.

Test guidelines are indispensable to conducting a software test, on the basis of which the tests can be carried out step by step (white-box testing). Only the programmers themselves know where which functions that have to be tested are hidden. Testing absent guidelines would, therefore, be unstructured, inefficient and very probably incomplete.

If requested, Transline can work together with the programmers when compiling the guidelines in order to ensure that all translation-relevant elements of the software are taken into account during the guidelines' compilation.
