Bosnian

Bosnian is the native language of the Bosniaks and one of the three recognised official languages in Bosnia and Herzegovina. As the national variety off the Southern Slavic branch of the Slavic languages, Bosnian is closely related to the Serbian and Croatian. Communication between these languages is not difficult for the most part. A defining difference between the Bosnian and the Serbian is the orthography: While in Serbia both the Cyrillic and the Latin alphabets are used, even though Cyrillic is enshrined in the constitution as the script for official use, Bosnian is written in Latin characters almost exclusively.

Bosnian is spoken by approx. 2.5 million native speakers in Bosnia and Herzegovina; in addition, there are over 200,000 speakers in Serbia and Montenegro and major emigrant groups in Western Europe and the USA. Bosnia is also a recognised official language in Montenegro and Kosovo.

We only use native-speaking translators for your Bosnian translations; they are familiar with the particular field of specialisation and will provide you with outstanding results. We are looking forward to receiving your order!
